Dr. Shipp has been a partner at Shipp Needham Economic Analysis, LLC since 1997 and a testifying expert since 1994. During that time, Dr. Shipp has testified in cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, wrongful termination, commercial disputes, business valuations, and FELA cases. Dr. Shipp has expertise in calculating lost earning capacity, lost expected earnings, lost economic support, lost household services, and the present value of future medical expenses. Dr. Shipp has testified on behalf of attorneys representing plaintiffs and defendants in both state and federal courts and FINRA arbitrations. He has testified or provided analysis in cases in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Kansas, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Alaska, Colorado, Illinois, Hawaii, Minnesota and Washington D.C.
Dr. Shipp received his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Tulsa, his Masters in Business Administration (with emphasis in statistics and pyschometrics) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and his Ph.D. in Business Administration in 1990 from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities). He has continued to develop his expertise by becoming a Certified Earnings Analyst (CEA) and a Master Analyst of Financial Forensics (MAFF)
Dr. Shipp has been active in various organizations that promote education and ethical behavior in providing expert witness testimony. He served on the Board of the American Rehabilitation Economics Association (AREA) for six years and served as External Vice-President, Program Chair, President, and Past President during that time. He has made presentations at the annual conference on a variety of topics for that group. He has also been a member of and served in various capacities with the National Association of Forensic Economics (NAFE), and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts ( NACVA).
Dr. Shipp has authored or co-authored various articles in the area of forensic economics. Subjects of his articles include personal damages and commercial damages. He presents sessions on these topics at various professional conferences.

For personal damages litigation, Dr. Needham has expertise in calculating lost earning capacity, lost expected earnings, lost economic support, lost household services, and the present value of future medical expenses. For commercial damages, he has estimated lost profits, past and future out-of-pocket expenses, and lost business value. Dr. Needham has testified for both plaintiffs and defense in state and federal courts and FINRA arbitrations. He has provided sworn testimony in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Mississippi, Nevada, California, Minnesota, Alaska and Washington D.C.
Dr. Needham brings more than twenty-five years of experience in the fields of banking, finance and risk management to his litigation support work. In addition, his experience as an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Texas Christian University and Weatherford College assists him explaining the methodology and calculations related to each specific case.
Dr. Needham received a B.A. in economics and business administration from Austin College (Sherman, TX.), a M.A. in economics from Texas Christian University (fort Worth, TX.), and a Ph.D. in business administration from California Coast University (Santa Ana, CA.). He became a Certified Earnings Analyst (CEA) in 2000.
Dr. Needham is active in several national organizations associated with litigation support and forensic analysis. He has served twice as President of American Rehabilitation Economic Association (AREA). He has also been President of the Collegium of Pecuniary Damage Experts (CPDE) and the Southwestern Society of Economics.
Dr. Needham is currently on the Quick Read Editorial Board. Quick Read is an online publication of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Appraisers (NACVA). He was named an Outstanding Member of NACVA in 2021.

Dr. Bahador is a Certified Life Care Planner and has been a consultant with Shipp Needham Economic Analysis, LLC since 2018. He specializes in life care planning for individuals with catastrophic injuries or chronic health care needs. Dr. Bahador provides comprehensive plans that include current and future needs of a client along with the costs associated with their care.
Dr. Bahador did his undergraduate studies in biology at Texas Christian University. He received his MD from St. Eustatius College of Medicine in 2012. He specialized in Life Care Planning and received his CLCP from the International Commission of Health Care Certification after completing his training in life care planning at the Institute of Rehabilitation Education and Training at University of Florida.
Dr. Bahador is active in several national organizations associated with rehabilitation medicine, life care planning, and medicine. He is an active member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP), International Academy of Life Care Planners (IALCP), American Rehabilitation Economics Association (AREA), American Academy of Physician Life Care Planners (AAPLCP), and the American Medical Association (AMA).

Michelle Aliff, Ph.D., CRC, CVE is a Vocational Expert and Rehabilitation Counselor. Dr. Aliff has a Ph.D. in Special Education and a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. Dr. Aliff is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and Certified Vocational Evaluator Specialist (CVE). She started her career out in the private sector and was recruited for an assistant professor position in a Masters of Rehabilitation Counseling Program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She decided after six years she greatly missed private practice and started her own in Texas. She has provided vocational rehabilitation services for over 20 years to many populations. She is currently the Area Manager for the Continental District and supervises 14 counselors providing services to veterans and their dependents and provides the same services to veterans and their dependents. Dr. Aliff provides expert testimony regarding a person’s ability to work and potential earning capacity in state and federal courts. She testifies in cases related to personal injury, discrimination, wrongful death, and ADA accommodations. She also provides serves as a vocational expert in the Social Security system. Finally, Dr. Aliff teaches as an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas in their Rehabilitation Counseling Program.
Dr. Aliff has served her profession through IARP. She currently serves as Past Chair for the IARP SSVE board after serving four years as the Chair. She also currently serves as Vice President of the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.
